徐安龙教授简介 Updated Oct 10th, 2010

 

    徐安龙,博士,教授,博士生导师,北京中医药大学校长,曾任中山大学生命科学学院院长,国家“十一五”863计划海洋技术领域专家,“有害生物控制与资源利用”国家重点实验室主任,“南海海洋生物技术国家工程研究中心”主任,中山大学副校长。1992年获美国伊利诺斯(UIUC)大学分子免疫学博士学位, 1998年获广东省青年科技奖、2000年获国务院颁发的政府特殊津贴、2003年荣获第六届中国青年科技创新杰出奖。2004年入选为新世纪百千万人才工程国家级人选。项目“主要组织相容性复合物(MHC)的遗传多态性及其疾病相关性研究”和“海洋生物特有功能基因的高效表达及应用”在2005年分别获广东省科学技术奖一等奖和教育部提名国家科学技术奖发明奖一等奖。2007年被聘为国家重点基础研究发展计划(973计划) “免疫系统起源的亿年超前追溯”项目首席科学家以及被聘为第九届药典委员会委员。2008年获得第十届“挑战杯”全国大学生科技竞赛全国优秀指导老师奖,2012年“脊椎动物免疫的起源与演化研究”科研成果荣获国家自然科学奖二等奖。长期从事医药生化与分子生物学、免疫学及海洋生物功能基因的研究,先后主持多项国家级重点科研项目,其中包括“国家杰出青年基金”、 973项目、国家自然科学基金重点项目、863项目、教育部重大科研项目、国家发改委国家工程中心项目以及欧盟第六框架项目。
     先后在New England Journal of Medicine, The American Journal of Human Genetics, PloS ONE, Journal of Immunology, Molecular Immunology, International Journal of Cancer, Development and Comparative Immunology, Genomics, Cell Research, Journal of Molecular Cell Biology, Genome Research, Science.signaling 等国际学术刊物上发表SCI收录论文100多篇,并于2011年出版著作<<Amphioxus Immunity>>, 申请国家发明专利40多项以及美国和欧盟的国际(PCT)发明专利5项,授权国家发明专利29项,美国发明专利1项。多次应邀在国际学术会议及国外大学和研究机构做学术报告。

CURRENT RESEARCHES:
1. Focus on the SNPs and polymorphism of HLA genes among Chinese populations in association with certain diseases, and evolutionary analysis of SNPs among Chinese ethnic groups.
2. Study on the immune system of amphioxus to seek the origin and evolution of the immune system which predates the vertebrate immune system, particularly for the adaptive immune system.
3. Anti-Cancer New Drug Screening from Chinese Herbs and Ocean Organisms, Funded by Guangzhou Municipal Commission of Science and Technology, National New Drug Discovery Fund.
4. Identifications of Therapeutic Genes for the Treatment of Cancer and Cardiac Cell Death, Funded by Guangdong Provincial Commission of Science and Technology, Guangzhou Municipal Commission of Science and Technology, Guangdong Natural Science Foundation, State Commission of Science and Technology 863 Program.

PREVIOUS RESEARCHES:
1. Research Projects with Alliance:
Lead project on the study of anti-inflammatory molecular mechanism of LiquiVent (a therapeutic drug made by Alliance) by studying cell adhesion (in vitro) and leukocyte recruitment to the injured site of lung (in vivo), and expression of cell adhesion molecules (see Wall St. J., May 30, 1995, B1).
Developed primary cell cultures and transformed stable cell lines for human, swine and rat microvasicular endothelial cells, and human lung epithelial cells, for pre-clinical development of Alliance products.
One of main leaders in research project on the expression cloning of a novel apoptotic factor to breast cancer and its molecular mechanism on the apoptosis.
2. Postdoctoral researches with Dr. Helen M. Ranney.
Cloning and molecular characterization of anion exchange genes from human heart, bran and red blood cells.
Developed a highly-expressed vector using a non-viral promoter for possible gene-therapy.

Study on the bovine MHC class II gene-controlled immune response to the disease caused by bovine leukemia virus.
